FIREWORKS OF OPERA AND OPERETTA MELODIES
A simple story of a music agent who has to put together a music program, "Fireworks of opera and operetta melodies". He tries to get performers to be of the highest quality, even if he doesn't have a lot of money for it. There are various comic situations, but the effort is ultimately successful and the second half of the performance - after a break - is already "Fireworks" alone, without dialogue.

The manager has to put together a tempting program: "Fireworks of opera and operetta melodies"
But it is not as simple as, as everywhere, this program lacks enough funds. In addition, the premiere is due in a week… Still, they will try to organize everything:
At first she calls a couple of singers, but the main support is, as always, an old friend of the pianist. This time, too, it will not disappoint her and she will play something for inspiration:
Pietro Mascagni - Cavalleria rusticana - Intermezzo
One of the possible adepts is the first to introduce a baritone - he's, a bit, a little "tired" after a boisterous party, but still you can't miss the fact that he's a good singer.
Oskar Nedbal - Polish Blood - Aria Zaremba: "I am one of the diplomats…"
Tenors are considered a special kind of people all over the world. Ours is not quite normal either, but it can sing. So now only the soprano and mezzo-soprano are missing.
Neapolitan Song - Santa Lucia
Our manager is lucky again with the soprano: after one inflated prima donna, she comes across Madame Ertl, who is not so interested in the financial side and also sings very well.
Giacomo Puccini - Mme Butterfly - aria Cio-Cio-San: „Un bel di vedremo…“
Georges Bizet - Carmen - Aria Escamillia
There is only one problem with the soprano - or rather with the tenor: Madame Ertl likes the tenor very much, but so far he responds very strongly to his courtship. What if our singer tried it with some beautiful love duet?
Giuseppe Verdi - La Traviata - Violetta and Alfred duet: "Paris, the Tsar"
So, but it's really a problem with a mezzo-soprano, not and not to find her. Then a friend of the pianist intervenes: “What about you? Wouldn't you like to try it anymore? ”The manager no longer feels at an age when she should show off too much, but after honestly assuring her that old witches are often needed in art, she finally agrees.
Giuseppe Verdi - Il Trovatore - Aria Azuceny: "Stride la vampa…"
The soprano Ertl is also pleased with her new colleague and immediately wants to try a duet with her:
Jacques Offenbach - Hoffmann's Short Stories - Barcarolla
And now everything will definitely go smoothly. We have soloists, we will try a few more things and the Fireworks can start.
Franz Lehár - Land of Smiles - Su-Chong Aria: "I Will Give You My Heart…"
Johann Strauss - Bat - Čardáš Rosalindy
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Don Giovanni - Champagne aria Giovanni
Emerich Kálmán - motif from Čardášová princess - "We have come to give you a bit of luck…"
Giuseppe Verdi - La Traviata - Brindisi
Richard Wagner - Tannhäuser - Wolfram song - Večernice
Georges Bizet - Carmen - Habanera
Giuseppe Verdi - Rigoletto - Duke 's aria
Giuseppe Verdi - Aida - Aida's aria: "Ritorna vincitor…"
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Don Giovanni - duet of Zerlina and Giovanni: "La ci darem…"
Franz Lehar - The Merry Widow - Aria Danila: "I know Maxim"
Franz Lehar - Giuditta - Giuditta's song: "My lips only invite you to kiss"
Johann Strauss - Gypsy Baron - Verbířská
Gioachino Rossini - Cat duet
Leonard Bernstein - West Side Story - song Marie
Leonard Bernstein - West Side Story - duet of Marie and Toni - „Jdem tmou…“
Frederic Löwe - My Fair Lady - Doolittle's garbage song: "I'm getting married this morning"
