Iveta Zizlavska was born in 1959 in Bratislava where she also studied at the conservatoire in the class of Prof. K. Figurova. Before she graduated she had engagement in the State Opera in Olomouc. She was given well-known and also very difficult parts such as Violetta - La Traviata, Adina - The Love Potion, Alzbeta - Don Carlos.

After four years in 1984 she was offered a place in The National Theatre in Prague. She started there with her repertoire, which was many times extended in very short time (Leonora - Trubadur, Misetta - Bohema, Lucia - Lammemooru ets.)

Her aptitude for music and her talent for acting have been useful in very difficult operas, for example Mirandolina by Bohuslav Martinu. The audience has the opportunity to see her in Vienna, Zurich or Basiley in pieces such as Sabbath Mater by Rossini, Requiem by Mozart etc. In January 2000 she finished very successful tour in Japan.
