SKORNICKOVA Lenka - sopran

After graduating from the Academy of Music Arts she became a member of the Opera Studio that was a part of the National Theatre. Her opera debut was Pamina (Mozart). Apart from opera she became interested in old style vocal creation. Her voice has been an inspiration for creating many new songs. She took part in many domestic and international competitions and she was always awarded. In 1989 she got two prizes at the International Singing Competition in Great Grimbsy. One of them was for interpreting an English song which was for the first time given to non English competitor.

Lenka has attended many of courses, which were taught by excellent experts from various countries. She spent two years studying singing in Great Britain and now is getting invitations to teach at various seminars in Europe.

Lenka Skornickova cooperates with number of prestigious orchestras and ensembles such as Pro Cantione Antuqua, King's College Cambridge Choir, Prague's Chamber Philharmony, Chamber Philharmony Pardubice etc.
