SAKOVA Ivana - sopran

Ivana Sakova was born in 1966 in Kladno, and grew up surrounded by music already during her childhood. That was also the reason why she studied music school besides the basic school. She gained the first experience in the class of Prof. Mrs. Ruzena Tomaskova. 1988 graduated from the Prague conservatoire from professor Helena Tattermuschova's class and at the same year was angaged at Ostrava Opera. Very soon Opera Liberec, Opera Usti nad Labem, Opera Pilsen and National Theatre Prague Opera has come. The most favourite parts of Ivana Sakova are: Rusalka (A. Dvorak - Rusalka), Michaela (G. Bizet - Carmen), Manon (J. Massenet - Manon), Bystrouska ( L. Janacek - The Cunning Little Vixen), Mimi (G. Puccini - La Boheme), Leonore (G. Verdi - Il Trovatore), Donna Elvira and Donna Anna (W. A. Mozart - Don Giovanni), Hedvika (B. Smetana - Devil's Wall), Vendulka (B. Smetana - Kiss) and Marenka (B. Smetana - The Bartered Bride). For the last part (Marenka in Bartered Bride ) was Ivana Sakova nominated for the prestigious prize "Thalia".

Ringing soprano with sure high tones and dark timbre made Ivana beloved by public in Czech, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Poland, Holland, Belgium, France, Italy, Austria, Namibia, SAR or Japan.
